Softcover, GOOD PLUS, tissue guarded frontispiece of The Old House of the Craigies in Gairsey, Orkney from the original water-colour drawing by the late Sir Henry Dryden, 1851. Light blue card covers with printed ornamental border and title to front cover. Little foxing, but generally in excellent condition for a softcover of this vintage.This was a quarterly publication rich in historical research meriting not only a place in the library of every man who has a racial connection with the Orkney and Shetland Islands themselves, but it is valuable to all men who take n interest in tracing the origin and character of the customs and institutions of the various peoples that have contributed to the making and growth of the British Empire.
