First Edition. Hardcover, Green Boards with Gilt signature on front boards and lettering on spine, 337 and 326 pages respectively, indexed. Lord Oxford began to write these books in 1926 and his final illness overtook him before he had completed it. He had drafted for the printer at least two-thirds of the book, and had prepared all the material for the remainder, with the result that, save for a few verbal amendments, nothing now appears which has not been written or prepared by Lord Oxford himself.
