Introduction page states "This, the first Edition of the HUNTER'S GUIDE, has been over two years in preparation and three years in the actual making. It is only when on endeavours to assemble all date relative to wildlife in Canada that the numbers and range of that wildlife become really impressive. It can be said with truth that Canada is a hunter's paradise, and it can also be said with truth that there is little reason for its ever being other than a hunter's paradise providing the necessary attention is given to the priceless natural resources represented by the species listed in this HUNTER'S GUIDE...... The data in The HUNTER'S GUIDE is obviously not entirely the publishers' own, nor is it the experience only of our staff. Our experience has been blended with research and the work of other authorities has been copiously copied...... " FOLD-OUT MAP is dated 1940 and has one closed tear; otherwise in FINE condition. There is a page excised with a little remnant just before INTRODUCTION which would be the actual title page so a publisher is not named specifically. On the verso of upper cover is an advertisement for The new, Improved, Enlarged Angler's Guide published by Shepard Publishing in Montreal and they may also be the publishers of this publication. Red softcover decorated with geese, etc. VERY GOOD with red cloth spine,106 pp. CONTENTS: FURRED WILDLIFE; ANTLERED AND HORNED WILDLIFE; MIGRATORY WATERFOWL; UPLAND AND OTHER BIRDS; MISCELLANEOUS. A terrific find!!!
